Editorial Standards
The principles that govern how Nigeria Aviation Report reports, verifies, and publishes.
Nigeria Aviation Report is committed to accurate, fair, and independent journalism. Our editorial standards govern every aspect of our reporting process, from source verification to publication and correction.
Accuracy. Every factual claim in our reporting must be verified against primary sources — regulatory filings, official statements, company data, or direct interview testimony. We do not publish unverified claims, and we clearly distinguish between confirmed facts and reported allegations.
Independence. Our editorial decisions are made solely by our editors and are not subject to commercial influence. We do not accept payment for editorial coverage. Advertising and sponsored content are clearly labelled and handled by a separate commercial team.
Attribution. We name our sources wherever possible. When sources are granted anonymity, we require a clear editorial justification and our editors must be satisfied that the information is independently corroborated.
Corrections. When we make errors, we correct them promptly and transparently. Corrections are published on the relevant article page and listed on our Corrections page.
