Air Peace has commenced inaugural flight operations on its Lagos-Douala-Libreville route, a day after launching its Lagos-Conakry-Bamako service, completing a pair of multi-city corridors that extend the carrier's network deeper into West and Central Africa.
The airline's Chief Commercial Officer, Nowel Ngala, represented Air Peace at a welcome ceremony in Douala marking the inaugural flight on Sunday, 2 August 2026, reaffirming the carrier's commitment to building what he described as a robust and interconnected African aviation network. The Lagos-Douala-Libreville corridor operates on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, with the same aircraft flying from Lagos to Douala, continuing to Libreville, and returning to Lagos via the same stops later the same day.
Warm Reception in Gabon and Cameroon
The Managing Director of Libreville Airport, Igor Simard, welcomed the new connection as a positive development that would expand travel options for passengers and strengthen Libreville's connectivity with key African destinations. Representing the President of the Nigerian Community in Gabon, Mike Iwu said the direct link would offer greater convenience for Nigerians and other travellers while strengthening ties between the Nigerian community in Gabon and their home country.
Completing a Two-Route Expansion
The Lagos-Douala-Libreville launch follows the airline's Lagos-Conakry-Bamako route, which began operating a day earlier on 1 August 2026, together forming two multi-city corridors linking Lagos with Douala, Libreville, Bamako, and Conakry. Air Peace said the pairing underscores its strategic commitment to expanding its footprint across Africa and positioning Lagos as a key hub for seamless regional and international connectivity.
