Dana Air introduced a third daily frequency on its Lagos-Abuja route on 22 February 2019, citing sustained passenger demand growth on Nigeria's busiest domestic air corridor.
Meeting Business Travel Demand
The additional midday frequency was aimed largely at business travellers seeking flexible same-day return options between the two cities, a segment the airline said had grown steadily over the preceding year.
Corridor Remains Competitive
The Lagos-Abuja route remained one of the most contested in Nigerian domestic aviation, with several carriers competing on frequency and pricing to capture the corridor's high passenger volumes.
