Air Peace resumed its Lagos-Johannesburg service on 12 October 2020, part of a gradual restoration of international routes that had been suspended earlier in the year as the COVID-19 pandemic halted most cross-border air travel.
A Cautious Reopening
The airline initially operated the route at a reduced weekly frequency, citing continued uncertainty over passenger demand as South Africa phased in its own reopening of international borders.
Part of a Wider Network Recovery
Air Peace said further international route reinstatements would depend on the pace of border reopenings in destination markets and continued recovery in passenger booking volumes.
