Aero Contractors resumed scheduled service to Port Harcourt on 30 September 2019, restoring a route it had suspended the previous year as part of a broader restructuring of its fleet and network.
A Sign of Recovering Confidence
The airline said the route's return reflected growing confidence in its post-restructuring finances, following a period in which it had focused resources on stabilising its core Lagos-Abuja operation.
Steady Corporate Demand
Management pointed to steady demand from oil and gas sector travellers based in Port Harcourt as a key factor supporting the route's reinstatement, alongside general passenger traffic on the corridor.
